The basic material used in the production of crown corks is tin plate or chromium-plated steel (TFS)
which is cut into sheets for further processing. These materials are resistant to corrosion, suitable for
printing and deep-drawing and recyclable. Like all of our raw materials the tin plate and chromium-plated
steel is subject of detailed incoming goods inspections and tests.

The accuracy in
size of the cut sheet

Raw materials

The quality of the finished product
is based upon the quality of the raw
materials used. The main constituent
used in the manufacturing of crown
corks is either tin or chromium coated
steel which has to comply with the
highest quality standards. We have
therefore made it our principle to only
accept materials from established,
certified suppliers.
Systematic incoming goods in-
spections and tests plus regular
audits contribute to reliable, safe
processing.
The other raw materials needed in
the production of crown corks are
lacquer, printing ink and plastic sealing.
Our philosophy is to use only non-PVC
lining materials.
The choice of raw materials depends
on technical demands and the
decoration. The individual specification
is determined between the customer
and our sales department.
