The crown cork has been going strong
for far more than one hundred years
an almost unbelievable fact in the fast
moving world of the packaging industry
and of advertising under the motto
“the packaging is the brand”. Since the
inventor William Painter registered his
patent in the year 1892, the crown has
only lost three of its original 24 flutes.
Otherwise, it has barely altered in
appearance. |
Like the shaped Coca-Cola bottle
the crown closure has a great image
value today through its consistent form.
Its technical advantages, such as fast
fitting, easy handling, sealing capacity
and tamper evidence are supplemented
by suitability as advertising media.
When opening the bottle, the
customer notices the crown cork at first
sight. The almost unlimited possibilities
given for design enable the identity |
of the brand to be presented with
maximum effectiveness on a small
advertising area. Besides that, the
crown cork can be used for a wide
range of promotional campaigns by
individual printing or inkjet coding
on the inside with a transparent liner
as well as a unique coding same
as with inkjet coding can be
applied to the liner by lasering.
